One of our primary interests is the evolution and development of the reciprocal rafter frame - we are always exploring new designs and implementations for this unique roof structure - it is highly adaptable to a wide variety of geometries, we've now framed 5-sided, 8-sided, and 9-sided structures, and have conceptual designs for others. Small changes in design (roof pitch, angles, etc.) lead to interesting changes to the geometry of the finished roof, and they offer some interesting advantages in the use of smaller length primary rafters to span larger spaces. Above all, they create interesting and contemplative spaces that can be highly customized and are a joy to build and reside in.
